Ⅴ. 阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题 (请注意每小题的词数要求)
On the day after Thanksgiving in 2022, Allison Scott and her boyfriend, Alfred Valdivia, Jr., decided to go to Big Bear Lake for a last-minute camping trip. They packed up (打包) everything that they would use.
Allison and Alfred picked a camping place between Big Bear Lake and Angelus Oaks. They were relaxed when, suddenly, they heard a man’s voice calling out for help. They followed the sound to the bottom of the hill, and found a man named Eric there. “We end up finding him,” Allison said. “He used a stick with a water bottle (瓶子) on it to catch attention. He couldn’t walk. His feet were swollen (肿胀的) because of walking so much and the coldness.”
Allison and Alfred climbed down to Eric and learned that he had set out from his home in Oceanside two weeks earlier without telling others. No one knew where he was, and no one was looking for him. He doesn’t have a phone either. For 14 days, he just depended on half a bottle of water to survive (生存). He was weak and hungry. Allison used her phone to call 911. Once Eric had been safely saved, Allison and Alfred went on their camping trip as planned.
Eric is so lucky that Allison and Alfred decided to go camping that day. This story is a great warning to everyone: Always tell someone where you’re going when you’re going on a journey.
