Ⅴ. 阅读理解
Are you feeling a little unhappy? Some spoonfuls of vinegar(醋) may help.
At Arizona State University in the US, scientists did a study on this. Twenty-eight people took part in it. The scientists put them into two groups. Every day, people in the first group had four spoonfuls of vinegar. Those in the second group took one pill(药片). Inside the pill, there was a little vinegar.
One or two weeks later, the scientists tested the mental(心理的) health of everyone. The symptoms of depression(抑郁症的症状) went down by 42% for the first group and 18% for the second. At the same time, the level(水平) of vitamin B3 went up by 86% for everyone in the first group. The scientists said that having more vitamin B3 could help with this study.
However, the scientists only studied 28 people for this. In the future, they will need to test more people.
