　　I spent my holiday with my parents in Shanghai last summer.It took us ten hours from my
hometown,Beijing,to Shanghai by train.The city was wonderful and made me excited.
　　Shanghai is a very big city.There were thousands of people on bicycles,some taxis(计程
车),but not so many cars on the road.The famous Nanjing Road is so wide that it took us long
time to go across.I think it's ten times as wide as the road in front of our school.
　　Walking along the road,we soon arrived at the People's Square.I found that a lott of old peo−
ple danced and many children flew kites there.We went into the Shanghai Museum as well be−
cause my father likes collecting old things.
　　Next we walked along the Huangpu River.There were lots of European−style buildings here.
There were also lots of banks and business.Across the Huangpu River,we could look up the TV
Tower,the“Pearl of the Orient".It's so great.
　　We had a delicious lunch in an old restaurant in the old town area.Then we were so tired
that we took a taxi to our hotel.We took many photos there.I wish we could stay longer.
