[2024镇江中考改编] I have lived in China for six years, but still think the country is mysterious. So I made up my mind to go on a 3 - month cycling journey to discover more.
My cycling journey was very safe in China. Wherever I went, there was always the phone signal, and even WeChat pay. The beauty of nature was also fantastic. With thick forests, blue lakes and green hills, there was so much to see.
The food was another highlight of my journey. I got to taste local food in every place I went. My favourite was the spicy food in Sichuan. There were so many different choices along the way.
The best part was about people. I met people from different ethnic minorities (少数民族) across China and I was even invited to attend a wedding. One time I met a group of men. They were also travelling, but by motorcycle. They invited me to stay with them in the mountains. We cooked fish that we caught from the lake together. It felt like true freedom from the busy feeling of daily life. Another example was impressive. When I met a group of cyclists in their 60s, they cycled better than me. It really encouraged me to go farther every day. Also, an experienced cyclist saved me when I got a flat tire (爆胎). He helped fix my tire.
