Chen Hongtao, a manager of the Hubei branch of SF Express, said, “The drone can 11 10 kilograms of things. It can transport 8,000 ml of blood at one time, which can meet the daily need for a(n) 12 or medium-sized hospital.” He added that the drone can operate normally during nighttime and on days with light rain or snow. Its flying 13 is about 12 metres per second.
“Drone transport has different advantages. It 14 problems in medical material transport such as heavy traffic, long delivery time and the high cost. Particularly in emergency and nighttime blood delivery, drone transport has natural 15,” Chen said.
According to Chen, the drone can fly 10 to 15 km, making it ideal for small and important deliveries within cities.
